August 4, 2020 Primary Election

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Polling hours: 6 am – 7 pm CT 
  • Voting-by-mail
    • The deadline to request a ballot by-mail has passed (July 22), but voters can request absentee ballots in-person at their local election office until 5 pm on Monday, August 3.
    • Absentee ballots must be received by election officials by 7 pm on Election Day. 
    • Make sure the form on your absentee ballot envelope is completed, signed, and notarized (unless the voter is using an official health related excuse). 
    • If you requested your absentee ballot, but want to vote in-person, you may go to your polling place and spoil your ballot before voting provisionally.

  • Voters must bring an ID with them to vote in-person (does not have to be a photo ID)
    • Voters without ID can cast a provisional ballot
    • In-person curbside voting is available for voters who request it
