Awards

The LWVCBC presents three different awards.  Two of them are presented annually at our Founders Day event (usually held in December) to an individual and an organization that make a significant impact on the lives of individuals, groups or the community. The two Awards are: the Liz Schmidt Community Service Award which is presented to an organization and the LWV Outstanding Citizen Award recognizes an individual (or individuals) who have made a significant impact on the lives of individuals, groups, or the community as a volunteer or as part of their job.

The Eleanor Goodge Award for Exemplary Service to the LWVCBC

This award is intended to recognize a person who is a member of LWVCBC who has shown exemplary service and a long-term commitment to the principles of LWV, whose primary service is at the local level, and whose contribution goes beyond service in an elected or appointed LWV assignment. This award does not need to be given each year and may be given posthumously.

It is presented at the LWVCBC Annual Meeting in April.
